Yes 2.0 worked fine. So did 2.1 until I went into management and pressed save.
Not sure how to do the localhost suggestion. Remember I had a load of fun on the forums getting 2.0 set-up so would rather not go down that root if I can help it!

Hi Adam
did you have version 2 working with ldap? e.g. values in the separate ldap table haven't changed?
I know Pat has suggested testing ldap via a localhost install but you could also try a new clean install of 2.1 on your current server e.g. different db and different directory and check if that works via ldap?

Hi Ron
It works with Guest access so must be an LDAP issue. Not sure what else to try as settings in the DB look the same as always.
Is there anything in the sitedetails table that might be worth checking?

Also does switching back to guest access allow the installation to work or is it now broken regardless of authentication method? e.g. is the problem exclusive to ldap or wider than that?
Close all browserwindows or clear cache after making that change.

ok, so LDAP doesn't seem to work
Try installing a localhost, but setting the LDAP to be the settings in the database
Does that connect?

I have looked at the database. The LDAP tables look the same as before (as far as I can tell).

Hello,
Guessing that "save" has broken something. If it is logging in that's not working, I would suggest going into the DB via something other than management and checking for settings.

Hi all
Hope you can help! Just upgraded our XOT installation to 2.1 using the 2.1 ZIP and 2.1_update zip from the community site. I did the following:
(0) Backed up XOT 2.0 installation
1) Extracted 2.1 zip and copied files over top of XOT installation
2) Extracted 2.1 update zip and copied over top of XOT installation
3) Tried to login to XOT via browser - logged me in as a Guest
4) Edited auth_config and commented out guest, opted for Ldap.
5) Successfully logged in OK and could see my own content
6) Logged in to Management.php to tweak some of the help text, clicked "save"
7) Could no longer login to index.php
8) Reverted changes in mangement.php - saved
9) Still couldn't login to index
10) Repeated steps 1 and 2 and then 4 to overwrite files
11) Still can't login.
I'm a bit stuck! As far as I can tell the Ldap settings inside management.php and the MySQL database look fine. Can't see any errors, cleared cash, tried 3 different browsers.
Hmmmm?
