You're going to get in a mess - you need to upgrade. Most likely the supporting functions for opening windows / divs are not in your html pages. But if you start swapping things in and out, there is a very good chance of messing things up.

I've inserted the new youtube.rlm. The video previews and looks like it's ready to run, but there is an 'undefined' link on the page and the video will not play.
I know I need to upgrade...but can't in the short term. Any ideas what the undefined might be? I'm comparing the old/new...
Thanks

You're on your own a little bit of you start swapping files in and out, so usual caveats apply, backup files before you switch them, etc. You really ought to upgrade properly.

I missed that message....is there a place I could get the .rlm and .swf without installing all of toolkits?
BTW I think I spoke to soon on using the toolkits FLV icon - I've converted the youtubes to FLV's but now cannot get any FLV's to play out of the FLV icon. That means...no video in toolkits 1.7 at present for me at least.

I thought Julian said you might get away with just replacing the yt .rlm and .swf?

Subject: [Xerte] Youtube videos workaround?
I have the same problem as Cuna (youtube's stuck on 'Player Loading' message after the latest Flash player upgrade). We are on toolkits 1.7 and upgrading this immediately to the latest is not an option.
Is there any workaround to this (other than convert the videos to run via the FLV icon)?
Thanks
RonM2
What version of the Flash player is on the affected machines?
I recently heard of a Flash upgrade causing and issue with the YT player model.

Subject: [Xerte] [XOT v1.7] YouTube videos not displaying
Hi,
We have XOT v1.7 installed on our server and have just found out that none of the YouTube videos are displaying. They hang saying 'Player loading... (screenshot attached)':

Is it only us or has anyone else experienced the same problem?
Thanks,
Cuna
