You could also do the drag and drop in Xerte, though. If you take a screen capture of your Java code, and crop the segments you want to be enabled for dragging into individual graphic files (png format works nicely, or gifs), you can use a Target Area interaction to do this. TechDis has a tutorial on how to do Drag and Drop in Xerte Online Toolkits:

OK, then you can embed the java app in a web page, and embed that page in the xerte piece, jmol works like that (it's also java)

Hi Julian.
Oh sorry - it's because of my dissertation. I need to write some algorithms in Java. Hope that answers your question?
Cheers,
Suhaila

You can link to a java application (but why develop in java?!?)

Subject: [Xerte] Java application with Xerte
Hello.
Is it possible for importing java application into Xerte? I'm planning to create Java GUI of drag and drop or is Xerte itself capable of that?
To be more precise on what I want --> For example, I want to test my user to rearrange scrambled lines of code in correct logical order and
my program should check if their arrangement is correct or not. So is Xerte itself capable of doing that? If not, I'll plan to create Java GUI of drag and drop and import that into Xerte.
Hope that helps for you to understand.
Regards,
Suhaila
