The error suggests that you're trying to open the index.htm from disk.
Like, by double-clicking the index.htm file. That's not working for me
either in Chrome. Chrome refuses to load the template.xml, because of that.
Search google for 'Origin null is not allowed by
Access-Control-Allow-Origin' and you see, you're not the only one.
You still can run the code locally in Chrome by providing a simple
webserver like TinyWeb (http://www.ritlabs.com/en/products/tinyweb/)
