My approach would be to reduce the number of items for dragging (if necessary having more questions) because it becomes almost impossible to give meaningful feedback if there are very large numbers of items on the screen since the feedback dialogue won't hold all that text, never mind the screen estate holding all the labels :)

I am making a lot of use of the drag-and-drop categories interaction in Xerte, generally using just two categories, with each being assigned too many items to display on screen at one time.

I've noticed that as category items are dragged into the appropriate box by the user, the box does not start to scroll its content when it is filled. Instead, categories continue to 'click' into place but overflow off the edge of the box, under the 'check answers' button, and off the edge of the window. Does anyone know of a way to add scrollbars? I've generated the resource in the online toolkit, but am happy to tinker with the desktop Xerte application if necessary.
