Folk have had good results with a converter called format factory. The recent advice about making sure the output is 320 x 240 or 500 x 300 is good : they are good sizes for xerte, also make sure you leave the orginal aspect ratio unchanged.

Subject: [Xerte] Re: Xerte help: Video Quality Poor
Hi Julian
Thanks for your reply. I'm using Any Video Converter and I've tried setting the conversion to
'original size', but then it's too large in xerte, so then I convert it to 320x240 and before I upload
to Xerte, it looks great on my PC. But when I view it once uploaded, it's grainy and very difficult
to see what I'm trying to demonstrate. I know what the links etc are saying, but as I'm trying to
use it for demonstrating how to use some software, to non-technical staff, the picture isn't clear enough.
Any ideas?
Thanks very much
Karen
