Yes, Ron had given us that tip a while ago, so passed that on, but it’s well worth while sharing. I think that’s likely to be the best solution, just wanted to make sure I’d covered all bases.

Yes, OpenOffice Impress can import a PowerPoint show and convert it to swf. Or you could just create the slide show in Impress, save it as swf, and not use Microsoft Office at all .

Of course the ultimate solution is for some really smart xerte person to build a PPT importer to xerte!

The iSpring free version can be problematic for a number of reasons - less control over output size and format and need to ensure it's actionscript 2 not 3.
A more reliable solution is possibly to upload via properties > media & quota and then use the link in the embed content page. That way you can also include the AS3 features.

Subject: [Xerte] Ispring
Hi all,
I’ve a member of staff hoping to use Ispring objects within Xerte, and they’re not displaying correctly – at best, they spill over by about an inch, at worst by much more. I’ve found some advice that suggests opting out of including the ispring player when exporting the object, but that doesn’t appear to be an option in the free version. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
