I'll have a look at the new WordPress plugin.
I am planning to create a xerte content type with the choice of either
showing the xerte files embedded in the node, or in a pop-up window. I'm
thinking the easiest way is to use the existing xerte interface to
create and edit the xerte files, and just add a script that creates the
Drupal nodes in the background.
