Hi Julian
I just tested the xmlengine.swf you attached and t does indeed display the
latex but it's clearly also got some of the language developments in it and
so if that's all that's update in a toolkits install there are the undefined
lists in each of the interface menu items.
Is there an engine which has the new latex code but not the language code?

Yes, you need to update your XMLEngine.swf. It's attached.
Then you can use latex and do <tex src="30cm^2">

Subject: [Xerte] Maths superscript in xerte
Hi
I posted this message below, back in December, and I know there were some
problems that others had, has this been resolved?
Hi
Is it possible to insert maths equations in Xerte, I want to display
something similar to below but the 30cm2 displays as 30cm2
We work out the area of the grey rectangle by multiplying 3 by 10 which = 30
cm this is written as 30cm2 or 30 cm Squared
Thanks
Shirley
