Hi Stephanie,

If you cannot resolve your problems easily (e.g. because your laptop is
locked down by your Institution), you can download a version that will run
on a USB stick from

http://rscmoodle.jisc.ac.uk/file.php/1/maxos/maxos_152.zip

you will find instructions for unzipping this and getting it running at:

http://www.jiscrsc.ac.uk/eastern/how-we-support-you/portable-apps.aspx

The current version is called MAXOS 152 (MAXOS = 'Moodle and Xerte On a
Stick'). MAXOS 170 is currently in Beta and will hopefully be available from
the same URL around Easter Time. This will include a number of new templates
as well as Moodle 2.2.1 and the latest version of Mahara.
