Remember, you can always insert a desktop Xerte object as a page.So put together a page in desktop that attaches the user input to rootIcon as a string, then checks for it upon page instantiation.

Okay thanks. I guess also there is no way for this page to have the option of not being cleared so that the user can page back to check the script they have created in response to a task?

We can't create / save a file in Word - the user can cut and paste at the minute. Potentially could do a nicer job of building up the text to cut / paste, or send it to server for some processing / turn it into a doc of some sort on the server.

Subject: [Xerte] Query about model answer pagetype in XOT

Hi

With the Model Answer pagetype (type in some text in a box) would it be possible to have a function which allows the user to save the text created to a word file and also allows the editor of the page to choose whether the page should be cleared or not when the user moves forward or back through the xerte course pages?

Thanks in advance,

Andy
