Thanks! That's a really useful addition.

On the Learning Object icon, add the optional 'stylesheet' option and then upload your style sheet. It will apply to that LO only, not your entire server,

Hi

Your emails finally came through. Thanks so much Ron and Julian for your help. I'm rubbish at writing CSS and that's why I couldn't get anything to change until I finally received the example stylesheet to edit. Having a lot more success now.

buttonFillColur seems to work for me btw as you can see. The only areas I can't get to do what I want are shown in black in my image.
[cid:image001.png at 01CCE5B3.68781A70]
I'm using the XMLEngine.swf you provided. Here's the CSS I'm using:

  titleBarColour: 0x4d5153;
  buttonFillColour: 0x4d5153;
   statusBarColour: 0xb22222 ;
  //defaultFont: Helvetica;
  fillColour: 0xeeeeee;
  defaultColour:#000000;
  titleColour:0xFFFFFF;
   buttonTextColour:0xFFFFFF;
  //buttonFillColour:0xD17525;
  statusColour:0xFFFFFF;

  //glossaryColour:0xD17525;
  //labelColour:0xD17525;
  //inputColour:#D17525;

One other thing:
"Julian has also subsequently replied with a revised Nottingham.rlt file which should make this changeable on a per LO basis."
Thanks again. I've updated the file on the server but how do I use this on a per LO basis?

Sorry for my novice questions. I'm getting there slowly!

Oli

Hang on - default still takes you back to the blue scheme...

Yep, that was the trouble: if the styles are already loaded before the interface initialises, the controls take their style values from STYLES, if it is loaded later they didn't - until now: new engine attached. Cheers.

Might have spoken too soon :-(
Is buttonFillColour working on your tests? Wondering if the path to common/styles.css is hardcoded for that somewhere?
e.g. if I change that colour in common/styles.css it works but if I change that in media/styles.css it still uses the colour from common/styles.css
If buttonFillColour works for you from media? then it may be a difference in my files somewhere :-(
Cheers
Ron

I had a load of typos in there: this works, after the background image code:

//stylesheet
if (templateData.learningObject[0].stylesheet != undefined){
  rootIcon.loadStyleSheet(expression(templateData.learningObject[0].stylesheet, this));
}

sorry been in a skype call until now - and now time for lunch but will test and feedback shortly. Although a stylesheet was obviously attached to one of my previous replies :-)

Yes, we could have stylesheet an optional LO property and if set, use that...

Example attached.

Julian while we're on this subject it's been on my to do list to check/test if there's a way we could make the path to styles.css conditional e.g. to look for it in media first and then if not found use the one in common?

That would make it easy to have different styles for different LO's rather than a site wide only solution. I've verified that this works with a test install by changing the path to media\styles.css and uploading via the LO or media & quota just not sure how and where to make it conditional and therefore backward compatible.

Ron

Subject: [Xerte] default colour scheme

Hello

How do I edit the colours on the default colour scheme for LOs made with XOT? I'd like to change the various blues used in the default colour scheme but keep everything else exactly the same.

Thanks for your help
