Hello Stefanie,
The page wizards were implemented to provide access to both the full Xerte
desktop editing environment and all the pages that were available in
pageTemplates based projects. There are even a few pages that are not
currently available in pageTemplates e.g. the routed pages that let you
define one or more destinations that the learner can be taken to when they
exit the page.
Page Wizards were never part of the official Xerte release.
Page Wizards are a great way to learn more about how to create your own
Xerte page designs, but you might want to hold back from creating any live
projects with them as they will become effectively obsolete with the next
release of Xerte. If you have created any Page Wizard based projects they
will continue to work. But the next release of Xerte will include
individual page templates, as well as all the features you are already used
to, Effectively the Page Wizard approach is being incorporated into desktop
Xerte. This will offer significant improvements to the ease of use of the
current Page Wizards - automatic folder creation, thumbnails and hints to
help with page selection etc.
Kind regards
Johnathan
