Yes. I am sure. It configures the soft keyboard. It could also configure the interface language I suppose…

Ehmmm are you sure? I mean, what do you mean by 'that'. The loadLanguage part or the optional parameter in the xwd?

That does a different thing: it configures the soft keyboard for languages with ‘funny’ characters. Try setting it to French and then putting the focus in a text input box somewhere in the piece. The character sets are held in charpad.swf.

As far as I can tell, the language menu doesn't work at the moment.
For the time being, when saving the rlt before packaging the temaplets for zip, you can insert this line in the setup script:
rootIcon.loadLanguage('languages/dutch.xml');

OK, found the language file dutch.xml.
But when I select optional properties > language in a XOT project, Dutch doesn't appear as an option in the dropdown list…

We are really busy with internationalizing Xerte en Xerte Online Toolkits.
The labels for the dropdown boxes can be edited in the xml files found
in the language folder
You set the language to be used in a script (but this will be possible
from a dropdown box in the near future.
Again depends whether you are using Xerte standalone or XOT.

Hi
How/where can I change the language of the labels in the bottom bar: colour schemes - screen size - text font etc.
