Hello Jonathan (and others):
Thanks for that info. I've upgraded my XP and Windows7 partitions with the
latest desktop xerte and page wizards.
I was having problems with the wizards not opening, including some zinc
errors and a 'the model data failed to load' but that I think is now
resolved as I (by following the printed instructions!) create a new folder
instead of dumping all the wizard files into one folder. I think that's what
fixed it but have run out of time to rest right now. Some questions still
remain:
- After editing a page wizard and saving/exiting, I was expecting
the original RLO to pop open again, but that doesn't happen. Is that normal?
- When I use a new page wizard and create a new directory for the
page wizard files, what happens to those files? The code is imported into
the main desktop RLO, so is it safe to delete the directory that was created
with the page wizard rlm, xml, xwd files in it? Are they toast at that
point? Or are those files needed for import when the piece is 'packaged'?
- After I have the page wizard in the main piece, for example a
'quiz', I know I can tinker with the code there, but is it possible to
re-edit the quiz in the wizard interface? I tried opening the RLM file for
the quiz but that doesn't open in the wizard, it opens in the main desktop
interface. If I can re-edit it I can go back later and add another question
or two, otherwise do I have to rebuild it from scratch?
Sorry for all these questions. You guys have created a wealth of resources,
it is really impressive, I'm just wading through how best to access them.
