Thanks for the suggestion - just tried and no joy - Julian said the flv
file with original name worked fine on his xot install.

So, a problem at our host's end (Pale Purple)? Can't be just my comp
since my coworker has same prob on her comp.

First I'd remove spaces from the file name and set both the filename and
the path value to all lower case.
If the file is there then the server can't see it.

well, this is what I get - see screenshot attachment - I can see the flv
does physically upload but just will not display when click play.

Hi,

I created a new learning object for XOT with just a video page - and
same result. My colleague has the same problem. Could it be that the
Pale Purple XOT install is corrupted in terms of the Media: video page?

It works here: must be some other problem. Create a simple LO and add
just a video page, and try it again...

I have attached the flv file I am trying to load into a video page type.
Unfortunately I am unable to try the video page template in a standalone
copy of xerte since I am having trouble exporting the file as a zip -
sorry. Am using pale purple as the host.

Hi good xerte folk,

I have been having problems with flv files. I convert to flv. and upload
to xerte online templates (video template page) but I am just greeted by
a blank screen when I hit play to display the work. Any ideas why I
might be getting such a blank page? Video frame size in conversion
program is 320 by 240 and bit rate is 512 using 'any video converter', a
piece of free software which has worked for me in the past.
