It would probably be worth going through your install experiences and making sure we have all those issues fixed, where possible, or documented at some point. In the new installer, Pat wrote a heap of tests to check for a lot of the common errors that find their way through into issues on this list: the hope is that by running the tests, a lot of issues will be diagnosed more easily,

I think a lot of the common crap is default.
It's the Xerte specific ones it doesn't recognize.

Only sitedetails and originalyemplatesdetails come prepopulated - try basic.SQL in the setup folder with the dollar needing replacing with the table prefix
