Have rechecked all my php and mysql settings, all appears to be OK.
On setup/page1.php I have tried both mysql root and mysql user xerteadmin, both pages produce the same error:
Sorry the attempt to connect to the host has failed. MySQL reports the following error - -
All the attempts to enter data therefor fail.
I have tried clearing Firefox's cache.
Firefox is running from the local host.
