The white screen usually means you don't have the PHP Ldap libraries installed?

Does anyone have a working solution for LDAP authentication, as far as I can make out everything is setup correctly through management.php.  I can use third party tools to access LDAP from the XERTE server but just get the white screen when I try to authenticate.
