[Xerte] insert, add and delete buttons disabled

I have xerte close to being installed with moodle integration.

When I click to edit a  project the editor window opens up but all the
buttons except copy and publish are greyed out.

I read some where about adding the mime types to my apache config and have
added the following in the <IfModule mime_module> section;



AddType text/xml .xwd
AddType text/xml .rlm
AddType text/xml .rlt
AddType text/xml .rlo
AddType flv-application/octet-stream .flv

in the httpd.cohnf file.

I am running windows 2008 with Apache 2 and PHP 5.2
