Not much at all, Patrick =) I have some knowledge in codes but this looks
above it as I specialise in graphics. I was secretly hoping that someone was
doing something similar to it and will be so generous to share his successes
in embedding. Anyway I will do some research in looking how xerte embeds
Wikipedia, youtube. etc. and will try my best on this bases and will share
any successes if any.

In the end popups are not so bad. however make things embedded into learning
object would be fantastic.

It could be coded in - and it seems a simple enough thing to do.

Have you much code experience - any people who've built an RLM care to help
out?

The main idea is: Xerte learning object is published online. And on one of
Xerte pages there is a question and under it I would like students to see
what their peers have replied on this question. (I know it's a bit utopic.
but would be so great). So I thought to embed there a forum page which is
hosted somewhere else or a Facebook wall . where they reply. They might go
somewhere else to post answers. but it would be nice if they could see
replies embedded on that Xerte page. So something similar to that - .
http://www.neosmart.de/social-media/facebook-wall embedded in Xerte page
would make me the most happier person on this planet.

Popup is an option. but I can't make a popup window to open with the
specific height and width from Xerte interface.

If anyone tackled such problems I will really appreciate if you will let me
know possible solutions.

Kindest regards

Matt

It depends on what page and what content.

It handles Wikipedia as it has very basic formatting.

You can use APIs to access google and facebook.

Popup.

Flash itself can only handle a limited number of html tags.

Subject: [Xerte] Embedding Webpage in the learning object

Dear all,

I am just wondering if. I know that Xerte allows to embed YouTube feed,
Google map, Wikipedia article inside learning object. But is it possible to
embed something custom, let's say another webpage. something as iframe in
html web page? For example . just Google's search engine or maybe Facebook's
wall, any other custom webpage? Or the popup is the only solution for custom
webpages?

Sorry if repeated.

Kindest Regards

Matthew
