It's not that they don't appear in sharing it's that when we select 'click
here to add this user' we just get a message that This template is not
shared.
e.g. If I search for you and try sharing
http://grab.by/aqcY
doesn't work
http://grab.by/aqd0
whereas if I search for Alistair and try sharing
http://grab.by/aqd1
works
http://grab.by/aqd3
I'm aware there is some different code on the sandpit but not sure it should
affect this. Julian has obviously replied that you've had some odd issues
with this at Notts too?

it's some users can't share with some users.
So it must be the query missing them for some reason.
If you know there is someone you know exists but doesn't appear in
sharing then i'd echo out the query and take it from there.
Bare in mind the sandpit uses a different user block of code so that
might cause some problems
