i'm a beginner too with AS2, so i simplify a lot. in the first frame without sound, the button goes to frame 2 where i put the sound file, without programation. I had small files of sound so they don't take too much place (300-500 frames). i control the timeline and clips with easy programtion, stop, play, gotoAnd... I for a beginner, well, you do what you can with what you know, we have to use imagination to simplify all we can.

I had the same problem, in the end i put the sound in the principal timeline, in diferents frame, the button goes where the sound begin


Ah!  So it's not just me! Thanks for that Goni!  Actually that code was in the principal timeline. In a different frame to what?
