Is that good practice? I mean is it clear to the user? I'm just looking at it now, it might be easy to do, but I wonder if it makes usability sense to have the movie start halfway through first time, then go back to somewhere the user might not think is the start...
I'd prefer it to reset to the start time place.

When the video reaches the end, clicking play again starts from 0 not the start time. The start time only works when the page is refreshed (e.g. the first time it is played)

When you do that thing with the start param, what happens when the movie is reset? It resets to 0 or it resets to the start time place?

Dunno. Need to look up the API docs on the matter and see if it's something you can do via the chromeless player which we are embedding,

Subject: [Xerte] YouTube start time
Hi all
Is there a way to use the Youtube "start" parameter in the Xerte Youtube page type?
You can add ?start=n (where n is a number in seconds) to the end of a video URL to direct the user to a specific part of a video.
However, adding this to the Xerte youtube page type using the new YT embed code doesn't seem to work:
<iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ndM9njm9Tnc?start=20" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Even though the embed does work on a standard HTML page.
Any ideas?
Cheers, Adam
