Sorry, still can't open it.
Is this being published as AS3?I don't think Xerte can handle that.

Yes that's right.  I am setting:

var score: Number = 0;_level0.engine.score =score;  

Indeed if I set _level0.engine.score =22; then 22 is displayed in the summary page.  But I want it to read the score of the test.?   I'm sure I am missing something obvious..........

Here is a folder with the .fla in CS3 & Flash 8.  The quiz is mucked up but it does yield a score - which then doesn't show up in the summary page.
