I tried that: you still have to write the characters into the textfield,

Would LaTeX allow the use of greater than / less than in a navigator page or is there a similar issue with the xml?

The way the text is held in the underlying xml is different for the nested pages, and we do try and escape those characters in the xml, but we can't always work around it when text is held in an xml attribute, rather than a node value.
Sorry.

Hi - I'm using the 'slide-show' navigator page (XOT) and having a problem with the less than/greater than characters (<>).
I've tried the "<" entity (which works on a plain text page) and, various other escape methods, but it just keeps treating it as code and not displaying any text after that point in the text panel.
Hopefully someone has a solution, thanks,
