[Xerte] Xerte 3.0 Beta

The other numbers to tie in with are the FlexSDK versions.

Currently I can't see how we can do any visual editing because Xerte 3 compiles the swf, and the swf plays in the Flash Player.

However, fluid layouts mean there isn't so much need for pixel perfect movement of objects, I haven't found this a major issue when working with FlashDevelop,

Xerte Pro suggests to me the power of the desktop environment in which you can create anything if you know what you are doing.

If you are looking at some future date to include Xerte 3 projects in On-line Toolkits then sticking with Xerte 3 may be less confusing. There is also a useful tie in with action script. Xerte 2 using action script 2, xerte 3 uses action script 3.

Whilst on the subject of Xerte 3 beta are you able to give any indication of what if any editing will eventually be available in design mode e.g. in Xerte 2 there is some facility to size and drag objects in the preview display? Or is the intention that you will have to always make changes in the current editing environment and then re-run the project to see the result?
