Just found the bit that says it needs to be AS2. Sorry.

Subject: [Xerte] SWF files in Xerte
Hi,
How Xerte plays swf files is confusing me. I have a very simple swf file. It uses AS3, is made of five frames and within each frame is a MovieClip of less than 2 seconds.
I've added a component and set the URL to the appropriate value. But it looks like my ActionScript to stop the top level frame and run the MovieClips is being ignored. Only the top five frames are being played on an endless cycle.
The documentation I've found seems straightforward: If the clip needs interaction/ variables to be passed to it etc, then you need to use InitObject (which has me thoroughly stumped btw). As mine doesn't require interaction (it just needs to read the AS) do I need to use InitObject? If so, what values do I need to initialise?
If I don't need InitObject, what do I need to do so that Xerte acknowledges the presence of my AS?
Sorry about the wealth of communication today, but as I figure out how it works you'll stop hearing from me :)
