[Xerte] "FileLocation + " error

Hi Patrick.

In USER-FILES I have a number of folders, each named 1-username-Nottingham, 2-username-Nottingham and so on, each has data.xml and preview.xml files *only* in it.

/srv/xerte/current/USER-FILES is a symlink to another folder on the server, /srv/xerte/shared/userfiles.  Paths to both directories are 777 across the board all the way back to root.  I've been caught out by permissions issues before so tried to ensure I got this right.

I'm now thinking that the folder/file owner may be the issue, so I'll investigate that.

It sounds like a rights issue when a file is uploaded?

What are the security settings for the userfiles and project folder?

Hi all.

I am a techie in our Computer Services department and a recent job for
me was to install Xerte Online Toolkits onto a 'spare' server for use
around the college.  Install was apparently successful and I handed over
to the users to create resources.

One of them has reported an error when adding in an image. They choose
the image (say img.jpg) and in the text box next to 'Image' you get
"FileLocation + " showing, then "/media/img.jpg". This looks wrong, and
clicking on the preview button produces an error popup reading: You must
select media before you can preview it."

I thought I had everything correct during install but maybe not.  I'd be
grateful for any assistance those on this list can provide as Google
turned up very little.
