I wonder if anyone here can help with some positive quotes we could use
in LA in two weeks time? Myself, Pat and Alistair are going to represent
the project in the IMS Global Impact Awards which we have been
shortlisted for. We need to pitch our entry to the judges, and will have
a stand to do this - we've hired a big monitor so can show stuff on
screen, and we've got some posters and fliers to make it look nice - I'd
really appreciate it if we could print out some of your stories: why you
use Xerte, what you use it for, the benefits you've found, and so on -
so if you can spare five minutes and have a good story to tell, would
you mind sending it to me?
Thanks very much indeed, we'll let you know how we get on!

Hi all
Can you contribute towards the recognition of Xerte on a global scale?
Xerte Online Toolkits - the open source content creation tool from the
University of Nottingham - has been showcased across many different
sectors and has been enthusiastically embraced by a number of
practitioners and their organisations, including many on this list.
Xerte Online Toolkits is now a finalist for a global award - the IMS
Global Learning Consortium award
(http://www.imsglobal.org/learningimpact2010/awards2010finalists.html).
We would like to decorate the Xerte stand with quotes from Xerte users
and enthusiasts about how they use Xerte in what sort of context and why
they and their learners like it. If you are able to give us a quote
please contact me off list at alistair at techdis.ac.uk. All I need it who
you are (name/title/institution - the stuff of Outlook signatures), why
you like Xerte and what you've done with it.
Many thanks - Alistair
