My first idea was to be able to open a pop up window with an image and
perhaps some text that illustrated something referred to on a particular
page, so the user could close the window after studying it and still be
at the page in the Xerte project that they were in when the window
opened.

I tried to get the window v2 component working, not knowing if it had
been included in the v2 components swf. When I got no joy there, I tried
to get the alert component working, again with no joy.

I would expect that a capability in Xerte to display an alert type
message would be useful, perhaps even more so if you have the additional
capability to specify the buttons e.g. OK, Yes, No, Confirm, Cancel.
Having more than an OK button pre-supposes that there would be some way
of capturing the response so that this could be acted upon.

Having the capability to open a Window with text and graphic content,
with a close button, is what I am trying to achieve.

Is there a simple way in Xerte of opening up a pop up window in which a
graphic or text could be displayed?

I have been looking at the V2 components demo as a possible solution,
but it lacks either an alert or window example. I have tried to get
either working without any success.

Anyone any ideas?
