[Xerte] Onscreen positioning of objects

I find myself in need of positioning multiple objects relative to each other appearing on the same screen.
I can get to the screens in question, but there is a real issue with layering, i.e.  how do I get to an object that is "overlain" by an object displayed prior on the flow?
