The latest version of the Page Wizards file is now available. You can download it from the Page Wizards page of the Xerte Wiki.

This release includes a new Page Wizard - Routed Tabbed Navigation. Based on the Tabbed Navigation page it offers greater control for positioning of page items, support for flash paper, and the ability to define page exits. Each exit takes the name of a page and a description. This is displayed in the page as a radio button with the description displayed next to it. Clicking on the radio button takes the user to the page specified. Example uses for this Page Wizard include chapter listings (one tab for each chapter, each tab page displaying a list of pages for that chapter); simple expert systems - ask a question, and route the user to the appropriate next page based on the response they select.

A new model file is also available to provide simple navigation to include equivalents for all the buttons in the default Xerte Navigation plus a Home button and a LIFO queue based back button. Individual buttons can be turned on or off by setting their property values to 1 or 0 in the models script. A queue based back button is of more use than Next and Previous buttons, when all or part of a project do not use a linear sequence. Again this is can be downloaded from the Page Wizard page in the Xerte Wiki.

Enjoy,

Kind regards

Johnathan
