No, the panel is a graphic - an external swf that does nothing with
styles,

Hello Julian,

Sorry to have wasted your time.

I was working with a panel and trying to change the background colour
(permanently white) of the panel, rather than the colour of the panel
frame.

I was using STYLES.stageColour and most of the time this does not seem
to change much when you choose a different colour scheme.

If I use STYLES.inputColour the change is clearly shown - so yes I can
now pick up on the standards styles.

It looks like with the flex panel you can only change the frame colour,
so this leaves the title text colour and panel background colour
unchanged, with the result that text can be hidden if the frame changes
to match the colour of the label or the text colour changes to match the
colour of the panel background.

Ah well you can't have everything

Thanks once again for your help.

Kind regards

Johnathan

Can't you just store them in your own objects?

Hello Xerte team,

Sorry to bother you.

I know that there is the STYLES object that will return the standard
styles for Xerte.

Is there a way of setting properties of an object e.g. a text object or
a panel, so that they pick up on user preferences that get changed when
the user, using the standard interface, makes a selection from Colour
scheme, Text font or Text Size.

I have tried using STYLES.aPropertyName to set a property, but once the
use selects a different setting my settings do not pick the change up.

Kind regards

Johnathan
