[Xerte] onInit - Jump Script (Wizard Templates)

We are looking to add some more code into this script but have found this
following statement.. (and don't want to break anything)..

 

if (linkIndex != -1){

  rootIcon.gotoPage(linkIndex);

}

 

Does anybody know what it does, or what linkIndex is? Also ive found a
linked, can't figure what that one is for either..
