Hi
Further to Julian's email, the Xerte work discussed represents potential
ongoing developments, however if you are also interested in *non* Xerte
open language learning content, there are other projects the team have
been involved with such as:

The Media Interactions template will be of interest. I don't think its
in the toolkits zip yet, but if you think of the standard template,
showing a piece of media throughout, and allowing a sequence of pages to
be built up around it, you're pretty close. It was built with modern
languages in mind, as we think that this type of content has a lot of
appeal in that area. I'd be keen for any feedback, and to refine it
further, primarily for modern language teaching.
It is in standalone Xerte, so you can have a play. I dont have any
finished examples yet though,
J

Hi Alistair,
The deadline is the 16th: I think they're looking for european
languages, however. I am hoping to catch up with you at the TechDis
online event tomorrow (6th), provided I get back from Dunstable in time.
Harlow have said they cannot host an event in the week before Christmas
so, I think you can stand yourself down for a possible presentation.
They are due to get back to me shortly with some dates in the New Year.
Hopefully, I'll catch up with you tomorrow - Weather and Traffic
permitting
Kindest Regards,
Thomas

I have a basic skills English example somewhere but I think it's on a
MAXOS pendrive rather than a server. What's the deadline?

HI,
Has anyone got any XERTE rlos they would be prepared to share for use
with language learning in the Adult and Community Learning Sector. I've
been asked to a meeting with one of our Local Authorities to discuss the
use of onLine TKs for this purpose but it's a little outside my normal
field. I did meet an IT Manager today whose daughter is teaching herself
modern Greek via free podcasts on iTunes, could they be trivially
imported into toolkits?
I've had a look at the material in XPERT, and some of it may be useful,
but I was hoping for something which had been created with Xerte.
Kindest Regards,
Thomas
