[Xerte] Slider bar interaction controls?

Has anyone successfully used slider bars as a user control input and tracked the inputted value to the next page?

For example: 

Nonverbals  Open - - - - - - - - Closed

Then the user can select the degree to which they want. This would drive scoring behind the scenes.
