Hello

I hope I can help!

Welcome to the list.

http://lists.nottingham.ac.uk/pipermail/xerte/2009-April/001434.html

Are some installer instructions. If you want to install locally on
windows. If you're installing on a server, download the zip, place it on
a server, and unzip it. Then go via a web browser to the setup folder.
There is an installer written in HTML and PHP which should step you
through the process.

The old version (0.5) needed config.php to be edited, but now these
settings live inside a database.

Feel free to email back with anymore questions.

Thanks

Pat

Subject: [Xerte] Online Toolkits Installation instruction

I'm interested in using Xerte Online Toolkits. Are there any
installation instructions? I can't find any on the website and
readme.txt is blank

I presume I need to edit config.php to connect to a mySQL database but
would need some advice
I have a reasonable knowledge of PHP.

I have been using Flash and Flash-based tools to develop content but
would like to change to an open source project.
Ideally one that academic staff with no development skills can use.
First, I would like to try it on a project - with MCQ, Fill in blank,
hot spot and open questions. Text, video and images
but first I need to install it

Hope you can help
