Hello,

The dragging works fine here.

2 options for making items go back to their original positions

1) Replace the word "snap" with "replace" in the dragItems attribute
2) Replace the word "snap" with "leave" and into your error scripts add
the new line

else if (dragDrop.objectDropped == viaduct2){
   feedback.setText("<b>Try again!</b>");
   viaduct2.animate(320,4,5,"linearTween"); <---- add this line but
change the ID for the one that has failed
}

Viaduct2 is the ID

animate is a function as such

animate(x co-ord to move to, y co-ord to move to, speed, style of
movement)

Hope this helps

Pat

Thank you so much and I did try this one but failed hopelessly, however
here
is my rather poor effort that may not be the proper way to do it! I
wish I
could get the dragged items to spring back home when they are not in the
right place but at least they sort of get there!!! (The photo used has
been provided by a group of participants with cognitive disabilities and
the exercise will be going on the Railwayland project website eventually
so not for use elsewhere.)

Oops not sure the list allows for zipped attachments - sorry if not.
Once again thank you Julian and everyone.
Best wishes E.A.

Hello,

There is a three target drag and drop example on the website in the
templates area.

http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/xerte/examples.php

It's written in the scripting language however though.

I have managed to make two items drag to one target and the wrong one to
spring back, but whenever I try to introduce a third item and make three
different targets of choice I completely fail to get any of them moving?
It is as if having more than one target make a mess of it all. Sorry to
have to ask for more help.

Best wishes E.A.
