[Xerte] Loading XML via asp

what is XMLDoc? An icon?
 
What do you get in the variable templateData if you set the templateData
property on the LO icon to the asp file?

I have 2 files on the server feed.xml and feed.asp
 
feed.asp spits out the exact same xml as feed.xml (at least as far as a
view source of both outputs goes. They sure look identical to me)
 
XMLDoc.load("feed.xml");
 
or 
 
XMLDoc.load("feed.asp");
 
feed.xml loads, feed.asp won't.
 
I'm missing something obvious?
