Pat,

Sorry to bother you with one so easy! Your answer about the same html page made me realize I didn't need to start the Java from within Xerte... just from html. (The Xerte didn't need to communicate with or control the Java, they both just needed to be running). All I needed to do was add the <applet> code to the html page that Xerte created.
Have a Merry Christmas... and a Happy New Year,
Kent

Hello,Happy xmas - it can do anything flash can do / or that flash can make javascript do.In the archives was a post about a xerte function similar to external interface which xerte can use to trigger javascript, which could probably interact with Java in some way.So I think you'd need to have the xerte project in the same html page as the java.Hope this helps.Pat-----Original Message-----From: xerte-bounces at lists.nottingham.ac.uk on behalf of Kent ChesnutSent: Wed 24/12/2008 20:04To: Xerte Mailing ListSubject: [Xerte] Play Java in Project?Merry Christmas!I was wondering if it is possible to play a Java file from within a Xerte project. If so, can you point me to an example? Thanks so much,Kent_________________________________________________________________Life on your PC is safer, easier, and more enjoyable with Windows Vista®.http://clk.atdmt.com/MRT/go/127032870/direct/01/
