If you set the stageSize property on the Learning Object, you can then use
Stage.width and Stage.height properties to position your objects. If you
have a button that you know is 80 pixels wide, you could position it 5
pixels in from the right edge by setting the button's x property to
Stage.width-85. Then it would be 5 pixels in from the right edge no matter
what size the stage is set to. If you aren't sure what the final dimensions
of your course is going to be, you might consider using this type of
relative positioning.

I removed the settings from the interface icon, as they we re duplicated by
the settings on the LO icon. I need to re-visit the help file at some point.
Click the about box - it will disappear.

Sorry to be a pain Julian. In the 'getting started' manual you show the
interface icon being used to set measurements for the frame but when I go to
my file I have the name, title and visuals fields but nothing in the drop
down menu to add height, width etc. Do I have to make a new swf and import
that for it to work and if so does this have to happen in Adobe Flash rather
than Xerte? I went to the help file and could not find more information so
many apologies again.
By the way the version 1.9 about screen does not seem to exit when you go to
the help menu to check what version you have. I had to close the program.
Best wishes E.A.

You can't do it I'm afraid. You'll need to re-position the items to the new
layout,
Julian

I am so sorry to bother folks this week but I have been asked to change the
frame size on some learning objects I have made to 700 pixels wide. I am
wondering how to do this without the buttons being chopped off at the side
and losing some of the content. It seems just crop item when you use the
dimension feature rather than Just reduce the size generally. Does this
need to be done with script in a web page?
Happy Christmas and New Year and many thanks.

Subject: [Xerte] Making changes to the html template
Julian,
I've been trying to modify the html template (C:\Program
Files\Xerte\publish\html\rloObject.html) that creates the launching page.
I've added style="margin:0" to the <body> tag, and I wonder if a future
update will overwrite that file? By adding the margin parameter, the web
page is sized just right, with no margins (they end up white, which doesn't
match the background color of the Learning Object).
Maybe everyone would be interested in making <body style="margin:0"> the
default?
