[Xerte] Authorware Refugee

I am an Authorware refugee who's seeking a replacement for the software that
Adobe will no longer support.  Xerte looks like a wonderful alternative!

I have two questions:

First, are there archived messages prior to August 2007?

Second, can I interface with Windows from Xerte.  For example, is there a
way to write code that will minimize the window that a Xerte piece runs in?
