Apologies for any cross posting
Hi all
a few notes and updates for those interested in Xerte and/or attending one
or more of the conference days.
Ticket sales end this Friday.
Please alert any colleagues that are considering attending but haven't yet
booked by forwarding this message and link: https://tinyurl.com/xerte18
and/or tweet via #xerte
<https://twitter.com/hashtag/xerte?f=tweets&vertical=default&lang=en> and

If you are attending the main conference:
Please check whether your current ticket shows as validated/paid. Some
people booked via invoice rather than direct payment and some of those
invoice payments have yet to be received. If you have printed a ticket
previously that doesn't currently show as validated please access your order
on Eventbrite and print again or if still invalid arrange for immediate
payment.
Please also check your booking confirmation and/or the event pages for
location details and FAQ etc.
Back by popular demand:
Between 15:50 - 16:30 on the main conference day on 27th June we now have a
session entitled: My favourite Xerte learning object(s) and why!
This was a very popular session during our Xerte conference in 2016 so we
are repeating this as the final session of the day this year. This is an
opportunity for those who didn't want to deliver a full session but would
like to quickly share what you are doing with Xerte or even what you have
discovered or created during the conference. We will only have time for
about 6 or 7 slots of 5 mins max each so if there is lots of interest we may
need to use voting to select the order etc. Please add your title and
summary via https://xot.xerte.org.uk/play.php?template_id=80#page8
If you are also attending the hands-on training day:
Please remember to bring a laptop if you want to make the most of the
training day sessions. If you can't bring a laptop then you might be able to
sit alongside someone that has but you'll get the most out of the sessions
by having hands-on access to either your own installation or the temporary
access we will provide to Xerte X our special conference release. (see
below)
If you are planning on attending the developer day:
If you haven't yet booked a ticket for that day please do so via

Xerte X https://xot.xerte.org.uk/play.php?template_id=92
This is a very special release being made available to conference delegates
before anyone else. All training day and main conference delegates will be
given access to a Xerte X installation during and for a short time after the
conference. There are some fantastic and very significant new features on
top of what was released in 3.6 and sessions during the conference which
will demonstrate many of those new features. (see 3.6 and previous release
notes via https://tinyurl.com/xertereleasenotes)
We look forward to seeing many of you at what promises to be a fantastic
conference and a real celebration of 10 years since the online version of
Xerte was first released!
BW
