Had no idea that existed and don't recall any list discussion about that
specific page? Just tested and was surprised to see what seemed like a
separate managment page but after logging in just an empty page with only
header showing logos etc + adding new features sub head but nothing else.
I think it's always been desirable to make it easier to:
1. add new project templates
2. add new page types
3. update both the above without having to update a whole installation
4. add additional functionality not just project templates or page types

I think it is more I am a bit outside the norm - so you lot are mostly
working on Xerte (desktop module stuff), whereas I have other stuff I've got
that I can share.
The App Store is on the admin panel somewhere (I think on the add modules
page)
It searches github for projects with Xerte in the name (i think)
*digs*
looks like it was extend.php so URL/extend.php with admin password and
username should do it
No idea if it works anymore, but that in itself is a discussion point.
If the creation of new modules is rare, then it can go, if we see that
allowing new modules offers benefits, then it can stay. You also get the "if
it becomes dead easy to do", you might get more option too.
