It might be easier to do it as a page type, and then work it into a full blown template? You can just work with an existing install easily that way, at least as the design comes together it would be quick.
The modular stuff does need addressing at some point.

Hello,
Thinking about the animation time line and if I've time to play around with it. Wondered if at the end it might die a death as there isn't a way of getting into the main zip / an "app store".
I sort of made the app store (never sure if anyone tested it / it made the zip) or wondered if we could benefit from an "approval process" for new modules / plugins?
