"From talking to Johnathan who wrote the original Flash versions they all
have some common functions in them"
Any help moving the connector pages to html5 would be much appreciated.
However please be aware that the connector pages are currently in a state
of flux in that following discussions prior to Julian going on leave I
believe that Julian may be building some support in the engine that will
result in modifications to the Connector pages e.g. with respect to the
selection of page name or page ID; support in the engine to turn on / off
different combinations of navigation buttons. Until I know what is or is
not going to be available and how Nottingham want the available navigation
options to be offered I can't finalise anything.
The function to go to a new page is already in the engine
rootIcon.gotoPage()
I have defined two functions that are common to all the connector pages
1) To handle the setting of navigation options fnSetNavigation() -which is
highly likely to change as a result of the above mentioned discussion.
2) fnListToClipboard which is used to generate a list of page names and
page IDs so to support the author when creating links. This may become
redundant if the wizard is able to provide a drop down list of page names
and matching page IDs.
The plainTextConnector page uses a function called fnTextCon This is used
to provide a function that can be called from a hyperlink. This function
manages the setting of the navigation, the usual setting of error messages
if the destination page ID is not found and if the page ID is found the
going to that page.
The scenario connector has a number of additional functions that are unique
to this page type which would not be appropriate to be included in the
engine.
I hope this is of help.
Kind regards
Johnathan
