to whatever you tell it to, if you change server you need to edit it
manually.

All the tables are latin-swedish - that was the first option in the list
when i made the database so i assumed it was the best default setting. UTF
might make more sense, I don't know enough to say really.
Not having salted passwords seems a bit odd though?
