[Xerte-dev] Re: How to upgrade toolkits to beta release on maxos

I am in no way expert in the ins and outs of On-line Toolkits.
I may have something working but whether there any gotcha's in the
background that I don't know about yet...
The 1.8 files are still beta and under test so it is probably a little
early to be releasing them in a MAXOS release.
However the process I followed is simple. I just downloaded the XOT svn and
replaced the files in the maxos toolkits folder with the ones from the svn.
The file demo.php had been renamed to demo.txt so I changed it back to
demo.php.
I ran setup (as a XAMPP user) and then was presented with a login screen. I
didn't know what account details to enter so I just made one up.
But I then closed the window and clicked on your Xerte start icon on your
MAXOS opening screen and it opened directly to Xerte with no need to log on.
So far it seems to work. But I am focussing on the testing of the page
types and have not explored any of the language changes.
Kind regards
Johnathan
