Dear All,
Best wishes for a fruitful entomological year 2026 !
Thomas Lebard and I recently published a small paper on the first French
record of Neocnemodon fulvimanus.
Nève, G. & Lebard, Th. 2025. Neocnemodon fulvimanus (Zetterstedt, 1843)
: un syrphe nouveau pour la
faune de France (Diptera Syrphidae). L’Entomologiste 81 (5) : 365 – 369.
Neocnemodon fulvimanus (Zetterstedt, 1843) : a hoverfly new to the
French fauna (Diptera
Syrphidae). A male Neocnemodon fulvimanus caught in Prads-Haute-Bléone
(Alpes-de-HauteProvence) on 28 June 2020, is reported here. This is the
first report of this species in France. An illustrated key to
the males of the five Neocnemodon species of the French fauna is
provided.
You can download the French illustrated original version together with
an English translation on

until 23 JAN 2026.
Best wishes,
Gabriel
